Though is this really true for every type of interior? It is known that people are more likely to buy when emotion plays a role, when they are touched by the beauty of it. Imagine you being in a restaurant, can you really taste the perfection of the food when the chef just trows it on a plate?
The same is true for housing. If a house is properly styled, the house will touch your emotions. It creates this feeling of ‘I would like to live here’. In several markets where this business is already mature, houses are sold for up to 8% more, in the Scandinavian markets they even claim uplifts of up to 15%. In the Dutch market this kind of 'Verkoopstyling' is just kicking off, however more and more houses on Funda are being styled.
